Portable UniFi Connectivity

The UTR is designed to take familiar UniFi networking functionality beyond a permanent home or office deployment. Its compact form factor makes it easy to carry while travelling, allowing a secure local network to be established in hotels, temporary offices and other remote locations.

Flexible WAN Connectivity

The UniFi Travel Router can obtain its upstream internet connection through Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB tethering. USB tethering support for compatible iOS and Android devices provides an additional option for sharing a mobile internet connection when conventional wired or wireless internet access is unavailable.

Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5

Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 connectivity uses two embedded antennas and a 2 × 2 MIMO configuration. Supported 802.11ac PHY rates range up to 866.7Mbps depending on channel width, modulation and spatial-stream configuration, while legacy 802.11n, 802.11g and 802.11b rates are also supported.

Dual Gigabit Ethernet

Two Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 interfaces provide wired connectivity for compatible network equipment and can also be used as part of the router's flexible uplink configuration. This gives the UTR additional versatility when travelling between environments with different network connection options.

OpenVPN and WireGuard

VPN client functionality includes both OpenVPN and WireGuard, enabling supported VPN connections to be established directly through the travel router. This is useful when secure remote connectivity is required across third-party internet connections.

Stand-Alone Operation

The UTR does not require a UniFi Account for basic use and supports a stand-alone device mode. This allows the router to be deployed independently when full UniFi ecosystem integration is not required.

Ultra-Slim USB-C-Powered Design

Measuring only 12.5mm thick and weighing 89g, the UTR is designed around portability. Power is supplied through USB-C at 5V/2A, and maximum power consumption is rated at just 5W. A USB-C power adapter is not included.
