The Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Mesh is a compact indoor/outdoor WiFi 7 access point engineered for high-performance wireless coverage and mesh deployments. Its dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz radio system provides four spatial streams, with maximum PHY rates of up to 4.3Gbps on 5GHz and 688Mbps on 2.4GHz. An integrated long-range antenna system combines broad omnidirectional coverage with enhanced directional reach, while a 2.5GbE uplink, PoE power and IPX6 weather protection make the U7 Mesh a versatile access point for indoor, outdoor and wireless mesh installations.

Next-Generation WiFi 7

The U7 Mesh brings WiFi 7 connectivity to compact indoor and outdoor UniFi deployments. It supports 802.11be alongside previous-generation WiFi standards and uses four spatial streams across its dual-radio architecture to provide high throughput and improved wireless efficiency for modern client environments.

Up to 4.3Gbps Wireless Performance

The 5GHz radio supports a maximum PHY data rate of 4.3Gbps using 240MHz channel bandwidth, while the 2.4GHz radio reaches up to 688Mbps with 40MHz channels. Both radios use 2 × 2 downlink and uplink MU-MIMO.

Long-Range Antenna System

An integrated antenna architecture combines omnidirectional wireless coverage with a precision long-range directional beam. At 5GHz, the system provides up to 6dBi omnidirectional gain and 10dBi directional gain, while the 2.4GHz antenna provides 3dBi gain. Ubiquiti designed this architecture to improve long-range mesh performance while retaining broad client coverage.

140m² Coverage and 200+ Clients

Ubiquiti rates the U7 Mesh for a coverage area of up to 140m² (1,500ft²) and more than 200 connected clients. Actual coverage and wireless performance will vary according to placement, building construction, interference, client capabilities and other environmental factors.

2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Uplink

A 2.5GbE RJ45 network interface provides high-speed wired backhaul for the access point, complementing the increased wireless throughput available from WiFi 7. Management is provided through the Ethernet connection and the UniFi Network application.

Advanced UniFi Wireless Features

The U7 Mesh supports wireless meshing, band steering, 802.11k Radio Resource Management, 802.11v BSS Transition Management and 802.11r Fast Roaming. Additional enterprise and hotspot functionality includes Passpoint, Private Pre-Shared Keys, RADIUS over TLS, dynamic RADIUS-assigned VLANs, guest isolation, client isolation and configurable WiFi schedules.

Indoor and Outdoor Installation

Wall, pole and table-stand mounting options provide flexibility across permanent and temporary installations. The required mounts are included, and the access point achieves an IPX6 weatherproof rating when correctly installed with its outdoor mount.

PoE Powered

The U7 Mesh receives power through its Ethernet connection using PoE, reducing the need for separate power cabling at the installation point. It supports an input voltage range of 42.5–57V DC and has a maximum power consumption of 13W.
