The TP-Link Omada EAP603-Outdoor is an AX1800 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point designed to deliver reliable wireless connectivity across indoor and outdoor business environments. It provides combined wireless rates of up to 1775Mbps, with up to 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 1201Mbps on 5GHz. External omnidirectional antennas, long-range coverage, PoE+ and Passive PoE powering, Omada Mesh, seamless roaming and centralized cloud management make it suitable for outdoor cafés, farms, yards, parks, pools and other professional wireless deployments.

AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Performance

The EAP603-Outdoor combines Wi-Fi 6 connectivity across the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Wireless rates reach up to 574Mbps at 2.4GHz and 1201Mbps at 5GHz for a combined rate of approximately 1775Mbps. Technologies including OFDMA, MU-MIMO and 1024-QAM help improve wireless efficiency in environments with multiple connected devices.

Long-Range Omnidirectional Coverage

External omnidirectional antennas and high-power amplifiers are designed to provide broad wireless coverage across outdoor environments. Omada specifies coverage of up to 200m on the 2.4GHz band and up to 300m on 5GHz under suitable conditions. Actual coverage and performance vary according to obstacles, interference, client devices and installation environment.

Flexible PoE Deployment

A Gigabit Ethernet port provides both network connectivity and power input. The EAP603-Outdoor supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+ for connection to compatible PoE switches and also supports 48V Passive PoE using the supplied adapter. The included Passive PoE adapter is intended for installation in a dry indoor environment.

Designed for Outdoor Environments

The enclosure is engineered for demanding indoor and outdoor deployments. Omada specifies IP66 weather protection when the access point is wall mounted and IP65 protection when pole mounted. The unit also incorporates 6kV lightning protection to improve resilience in outdoor installations.

Omada Mesh and Seamless Roaming

Omada Mesh enables compatible access points to extend network coverage without requiring a wired uplink at every deployment point. Seamless Roaming technologies help compatible wireless clients transition between access points as users move through the coverage area, supporting more consistent connectivity across larger installations.

Centralized Omada Management

Integration with the Omada SDN ecosystem enables centralized configuration and monitoring through compatible Omada controllers and cloud management platforms. Features such as automatic device identification and streamlined adoption help simplify multi-access-point deployment and ongoing network administration.
