The Sony NPA-MQZ1K Multi Battery Adaptor Kit is designed for photographers and video creators who need a flexible power solution for longer shooting sessions. It accommodates up to four Sony NP-FZ100 Z-series batteries and can supply power to compatible cameras that use either Z-series or W-series batteries. Two NP-FZ100 rechargeable batteries are included, providing a practical starting point for location work, studio recording and supported camera rigs.

Extended Power for Longer Shoots

The adaptor holds between one and four NP-FZ100 batteries, helping extend operating time during demanding photography and video sessions. When batteries have different charge levels, the adaptor begins drawing power from the battery with the highest remaining capacity.

Supports Z-Series and W-Series Cameras

The supplied plug-in plate can provide power to compatible cameras designed for NP-FZ100 Z-series or NP-FW50 W-series batteries. Its Z-series casing can be removed when connecting the plate to a compatible W-series camera, making the kit useful across a broader range of supported Sony camera bodies.

Please note: The adaptor can power compatible cameras that use NP-FW50 batteries, but it cannot charge NP-FW50 batteries. Camera compatibility should be confirmed with Sony before purchase.

Charge Up to Four NP-FZ100 Batteries

Using the supplied AC adaptor, the NPA-MQZ1K can charge up to four NP-FZ100 batteries. Approximate normal charging time is 120 minutes for one empty battery or 480 minutes for four empty batteries at an ambient temperature of 25°C. Actual charging time can vary according to battery condition and temperature.

A three-level LED display provides an approximate indication of the installed batteries’ remaining capacity when the battery-check button is pressed.

Selectable Camera and USB Power

A central DC OUT/CHARGE switch lets you select between charging the installed batteries and using them to supply power. Two USB Type-A output ports can power compatible USB devices, while separate selectors allow power to be directed to a connected camera or USB device.

Flexible Rig Mounting

Six 1/4-20 UNC mounting sockets—three on the top and three on the bottom—provide flexible positioning on a compatible camera rig or other secure support structure. The kit also includes a mounting plate, screws, cable protector and leash cord to support an organised setup.

Compact Two-Battery Configuration

For lighter setups, the battery protector can be removed and the supplied battery-seat lids fitted over the unused positions. This converts the unit into a more compact two-battery adaptor that is easier to carry and integrate into smaller rigs.
