Sony FA-WRC1M Wireless Radio Commander
The Sony FA-WRC1M Wireless Radio Commander gives photographers centralised radio control over compatible off-camera flashes and remote cameras. Mounted on a compatible Sony camera with a Multi Interface Shoe, it can communicate with up to 15 FA-WRR1 wireless radio receivers across a working range of approximately 30 metres, helping you build flexible lighting arrangements without relying on direct line of sight.
Flexible Radio-Controlled Lighting
The 2.4 GHz radio system can reach receivers positioned in bright light, behind the camera or around obstacles that may interfere with conventional optical triggering. Fourteen selectable channels, including automatic channel selection, help the commander establish reliable communication in different shooting environments.
Control Complex Multi-Flash Arrangements
Pair the commander with up to 15 separately available FA-WRR1 receivers and organise connected flashes into three groups when using TTL or manual control, or as many as five groups in Group mode. Flash compensation, output level and other supported settings can be adjusted from the commander, allowing a photographer or small crew to manage a multi-light arrangement from the camera position.
TTL, Manual and High-Speed Sync Control
Choose TTL metering for automatic flash exposure or use manual output control when consistent, repeatable lighting is required. Flash power can be adjusted across 25 levels in 1/3-step increments, while High-Speed Sync supports creative flash use at shutter speeds beyond the camera’s normal flash synchronisation speed when used with compatible Sony equipment.
Remote Multi-Camera Shooting
The FA-WRC1M can also trigger the shutters of multiple compatible cameras, making it possible to photograph the same moment from several viewpoints. This function requires an FA-WRR1 receiver and a VMC-MM1 Multi Terminal cable for each remote camera, all sold separately.
Designed for Location and Studio Work
A built-in synchronisation terminal allows compatible studio flash equipment to be incorporated into a radio-controlled setup using an appropriate third-party sync cable. The compact commander weighs approximately 93 g without batteries and has a dust- and moisture-resistant design for greater confidence during location work, although complete protection against dust and moisture is not guaranteed.
Key Features:
- 2.4 GHz radio communication provides a working range of approximately 30 metres under suitable conditions.
- Controls as many as 15 compatible flash units when used with separately available FA-WRR1 receivers.
