The Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII Shooting Grip Kit combines a pocket-sized premium compact camera with the Sony VCT-SGR1 shooting grip and a second NP-BX1 rechargeable battery. Its 20.1-megapixel 1.0-type stacked CMOS sensor, 24–200mm ZEISS zoom lens and responsive autofocus system make it suitable for travel, everyday photography, action, video and vlogging.
The external microphone pictured above is shown for illustrative purposes and is not listed as part of the supplied kit.
Key Features
- 20.1-megapixel 1.0-type Exmor RS stacked CMOS sensor captures detailed photographs and supports high-speed performance.
- ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24–200mm equivalent F2.8–4.5 lens covers wide-angle, portrait and telephoto shooting.
- Fast Hybrid AF combines 357 phase-detection and 425 contrast-detection autofocus points.
- Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF help maintain focus on moving people and animals.
- Continuous shooting at up to 20fps with AF/AE tracking helps capture fast-moving subjects.
- Internal 4K HDR video recording, a tilting touchscreen and a 3.5mm microphone input support video and vlogging workflows.
- Supplied VCT-SGR1 shooting grip can also be opened into a compact tabletop tripod.
Broad 24–200mm Zoom Range
The built-in ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* lens offers a 24–200mm equivalent focal range in a compact camera body. It can move from wide landscapes and group photographs to portraits, distant details and travel subjects without requiring interchangeable lenses.
High-Speed Sensor and Image Processing
The 20.1-megapixel Exmor RS 1.0-type stacked CMOS sensor works with Sony’s BIONZ X image-processing engine to support detailed images, responsive autofocus and fast shooting. Its standard still-image sensitivity range extends from ISO 100 to ISO 12800, with additional expanded settings available.
Autofocus for Moving Subjects
The Fast Hybrid AF system uses 357 focal-plane phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection points. Real-time Tracking analyses subject information to maintain focus, while Real-time Eye AF can detect and track the eyes of people and compatible animal subjects.
Fast Continuous Shooting
Capture moving subjects at up to 20 frames per second with autofocus and auto-exposure tracking. Blackout-free viewing helps you follow the subject on the screen or electronic viewfinder, while Single Burst Shooting can record seven images at selectable speeds of up to 90fps.
4K Video and Vlogging Features
The RX100 VII records internal 4K video at up to 3840 × 2160 resolution, using full-pixel readout without pixel binning. It also supports HLG recording, Real-time Tracking for movies, Active mode image stabilisation, vertical-video metadata and S-Log2 and S-Log3 picture profiles.
The 3.0-inch touchscreen tilts upwards by approximately 180 degrees for self-recording and downwards by approximately 90 degrees for high-angle compositions. A 3.5mm microphone input allows a compatible external microphone to be connected for improved audio capture.
VCT-SGR1 Shooting Grip Kit
The supplied Sony VCT-SGR1 provides a more secure hold for handheld shooting and includes accessible photo, movie and zoom controls when connected to the camera. Its legs open to form a compact tabletop tripod, making it useful for self-recording, interviews, travel videos and group photographs.
Compact, Travel-Friendly Design
The camera body measures approximately 101.6 × 58.1 × 42.8mm and weighs approximately 302g with a battery and memory card installed. A retractable electronic viewfinder, built-in flash and versatile zoom lens are incorporated into the compact body.
