The Sonnet xMac mini (2024+) Enclosure System XMM-SYS-0 provides a professional 2U rackmount solution for one or two Mac mini (2024+) computers. Its modular design combines an xMac mini mounting module with an open expansion bay, allowing you to start with secure Mac mini rack mounting and add a compatible Sonnet expansion module as workflow requirements grow. Front-panel controls and connectivity, integrated power distribution, SSD storage space and carefully managed airflow make it well suited to professional audio, video, broadcast and other rack-based environments.

Rackmount One or Two Mac mini Computers

The included xMac mini module securely accommodates up to two Mac mini (2024+) computers within a standard 2U rack enclosure. Rubber-cushioned brackets help keep the computers securely positioned, making the system suitable for permanent installations as well as compatible mobile rack configurations.

Convenient Front-Panel Access

Dedicated front-panel buttons provide access to the bottom-mounted power buttons of both installed Mac minis. The front-mounted computer retains direct access to its front ports, while a dedicated USB-C connection provides access to the rear-mounted Mac mini. A cable passthrough provides additional flexibility for routing connections to the computers.

Ready for Future Expansion

XMM-SYS-0 includes an open second module bay, allowing the system to be expanded with a separately purchased compatible Sonnet module. This modular approach provides a flexible starting point for rackmounting Mac mini computers while leaving room for future PCIe expansion or another supported module as workflow requirements develop.

Integrated SSD Storage

Space beneath the Mac mini computers accommodates up to two compatible external Thunderbolt or USB SSDs, helping keep high-speed external storage neatly contained within the rackmount installation. SSDs and their connection cables are sold separately.

Optimised Airflow

The enclosure is designed around the Mac mini's thermal requirements. Ventilation openings and dedicated chambers beneath the computers allow cool air to enter through their bases, while the open rear enables heated air to exhaust without being trapped inside the rack enclosure.
