Advanced mmWave Presence Detection

The Shelly Presence Gen4 uses millimetre-wave radar technology to detect people within a monitored area. Unlike conventional motion sensors that depend on noticeable movement, mmWave sensing can identify subtle changes associated with human presence, even when occupants remain seated or relatively still.

Tracks Up to Six People

The sensor supports the simultaneous detection and tracking of up to six people within its monitored area. This enables more detailed occupancy-based automation for shared spaces such as living rooms, meeting rooms and offices.

Ten Customisable Detection Zones

Create up to 10 independent detection zones to monitor specific areas within a room. Zones can be configured according to furniture arrangements, activity areas or automation requirements, allowing connected systems to respond to presence in selected locations.

Wide-Area Radar Coverage

The sensor provides coverage of up to 42m² under suitable installation conditions. When wall-mounted, its radar system offers a horizontal detection angle of approximately 140° and vertical coverage of 120°, providing flexible monitoring for indoor spaces.

Stationary Presence Detection

The radar supports stationary presence detection at distances up to 3m, helping identify occupants who remain still while reading, working or relaxing. This enables more reliable occupancy-based lighting and climate automation in quiet environments.

Wi-Fi 6 Connectivity
