The Shelly Dimmer Gen4 is a compact single-channel smart dimming controller designed for dimmable lighting in residential and commercial environments. Supporting Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter, it provides flexible smart-home integration while allowing precise brightness control, schedules, scenes and automation. It can operate with or without a neutral wire, making it suitable for both modern and retrofit lighting installations.

Smooth Smart Dimming Control

The Shelly Dimmer Gen4 provides precise trailing-edge dimming for compatible lighting loads. Brightness levels, minimum and maximum output, fade rate and transition duration can all be adjusted to suit different lighting environments and user preferences.

Works With or Without Neutral

The device can be installed in electrical systems with or without a neutral wire, helping simplify retrofit installations. When used without neutral and the connected load is below 20W, a compatible Shelly Bypass for Dimmer is required.

Multi-Protocol Connectivity

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Zigbee connectivity provides flexible integration with different automation ecosystems. Matter certification allows the dimmer to work with compatible Matter platforms including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant.

Automatic Calibration

Automatic dimming calibration helps optimise the control range for the connected lighting load. Calibration is performed after initial setup, a factory reset or whenever the connected load changes.

Flexible Physical Controls

Two switch or button inputs allow the dimmer to work with existing wall switches or push buttons. Single-button and dual-button dimming configurations are supported, along with double-press and long-press actions.

Smart Schedules and Automation

Up to 20 schedules can be configured for automated lighting control. The device also supports webhooks, MQTT, scripting, local web control and KNXnet/IP communication for more advanced smart-home and building automation workflows.

Night Mode and Scene Control

Night Mode can automatically limit brightness during selected hours, while scenes and automation rules can adjust lighting based on time, motion or other connected Shelly devices.

• Shelly Bypass for Dimmer is required when operating without neutral and the connected load is below 20W.
• Supported maximum load depends on the lighting technology being used.
• Installation on mains-voltage circuits should be performed by a qualified electrician.
