The Poly DA90 is an intelligent USB audio processor designed to connect compatible EncorePro 500 Digital and EncorePro 700 Digital Series headsets to a computer. It combines a six-pin digital Quick Disconnect connection with USB Type-A connectivity, in-line call controls, audio processing and headset identification features for telephone-intensive office and contact-centre environments.

More Than a Standard Adapter Cable

The DA90 is an active digital audio processor rather than a passive QD-to-USB lead. Built-in digital signal processing helps manage headset audio, noise, echo and acoustic exposure while providing convenient access to common softphone controls.

Designed for EncorePro Digital Headsets:

The DA90 uses Poly’s six-pin digital Quick Disconnect interface. It was developed specifically for EncorePro Digital headsets carrying a “D” suffix and should not be confused with adapters intended for standard four-pin analogue QD headsets.

Convenient In-Line Call Controls

The in-line control module allows users to manage supported softphone calls without repeatedly returning to the application window. Availability of individual functions depends on the communications application and software configuration.

Digital Audio Processing

Built-in audio processing supports clear voice communication in telephone-intensive working environments. The DA90 provides automatic gain control, transmit noise suppression, echo management and stereo audio support when used with a compatible binaural digital headset.

Acoustic Protection for Contact Centres

The DA90 includes advanced acoustic-limiting functions intended to help organisations manage workplace audio exposure. Confirmed features include daily noise-exposure support, G616 protection and anti-startle processing.

Compliance remains dependent on the complete headset configuration, software settings and the organisation’s own workplace policies.

Quick Disconnect Convenience

The digital QD connection allows an agent to disconnect the headset from the lower cable without removing the headset. This can make it easier to move away from a workstation while leaving the DA90 connected to the computer.

Device and Inventory Management

When deployed with compatible Plantronics Hub and the separately available Plantronics Manager Pro service, the DA90 can report its digital serial number and information about the connected digital headset. This was designed to help IT teams monitor inventory, distribute firmware and manage supported settings across contact-centre deployments.

Important Compatibility Information:

The DA90 is not a universal Poly QD adapter. Its six-pin digital connector is different from the standard four-pin analogue QD connector used by many traditional Poly and Plantronics headsets.

• Use only with a confirmed compatible digital headset carrying the “D” model suffix.
• It is not compatible with the non-digital HW510, HW520, HW530, HW540, HW710 or HW720 models.
• It is not compatible with standard four-pin QD amplifiers or analogue training cables.
• Call-control integration can vary between softphone applications.
• Compatible Poly or Plantronics software may be required for answer, end-call and mute integration.
