Poly Calisto P240-M Wired Handset
The Poly Calisto P240-M is a wired USB handset designed to give computer-based communications the familiar feel of a traditional telephone. It combines a 12-key dial pad, LCD display, dedicated call controls and an integrated full-duplex speakerphone for office users transitioning from desk phones to compatible PC softphone applications.
Familiar Telephone-Style Calling
The conventional handset design allows users to make and receive computer calls in much the same way as they would use a desk phone. Dedicated answer and end-call buttons, a numerical keypad and adjustable volume controls reduce the need to manage every function through the computer screen.
LCD Display and Menu Navigation
The built-in LCD provides call information and access to the handset’s menu system. Two context-sensitive function keys change according to the options shown on the display, while the navigation control provides access to settings and call functions.
- View supported caller information on the LCD.
- Navigate handset, speakerphone and ringtone settings.
- Access redial and microphone mute functions.
- Edit a telephone number before placing a supported call.
- Select from 11 built-in menu languages.
Integrated Full-Duplex Speakerphone
A built-in personal speakerphone provides a convenient hands-free alternative to holding the handset. Audio can be moved between the earpiece and speakerphone by pressing the dedicated speakerphone button.
The full-duplex design allows both sides of a compatible conversation to speak naturally without relying on a push-to-talk arrangement.
Wideband Voice Audio
The P240-M supports wideband voice audio up to 6,800 Hz when used with a compatible communications application. A noise-cancelling microphone helps reduce surrounding background sound before it reaches the other participant.
USB-Powered Operation
The handset connects directly to a compatible computer through USB and does not require batteries. Windows automatically detects the device without requiring a separate basic device driver, although supported Poly software may be required for full softphone call-control integration.
Designed for Microsoft Communications
The P240-M was certified for Skype for Business and optimised for Microsoft Lync and Microsoft Office Communicator. Users can place and receive supported Lync calls, dial numbers from the handset keypad and access compatible call functions directly from the handset.
This is a legacy Microsoft-certified device. Current Microsoft Teams certification has not been confirmed.
