The Poly APU-75 is a USB electronic hook switch adapter designed to connect compatible Poly and Plantronics CS500 Series wireless headset systems to a computer or supported USB desk phone. It provides headset audio and remote call controls for compatible softphone applications, helping users answer and manage calls without remaining at their desks.

Add USB Connectivity to a CS500 Headset System

The APU-75 connects a compatible CS500 or CS500 XD base station to a computer through USB. This allows an existing wireless headset system to be used for supported PC-based voice and softphone applications.

Remote Call Control

When used with a supported application, the adapter provides incoming call notification through the headset and allows users to answer or end calls using the headset call button. Headset volume and microphone mute controls are also supported.

Plug-and-Play USB Operation

The adapter supports selected Poly headset platforms and USB-equipped Cisco and Mitel phones. Compatibility can vary according to the headset base, telephone firmware and communications application, so the complete setup should be checked before purchase.

Important Connection Information

When connecting a CS500 base to a computer, the APU-75 replaces the standard telephone interface cable. It therefore does not provide simultaneous switching between computer and desk-phone connections. The telephone interface cable must be reconnected before the headset base can be used with its original desk phone.

Microsoft Teams Compatibility Notice

The APU-75 is a legacy adapter originally designed for Microsoft Lync, Skype for Business and other supported softphone applications. Microsoft identifies the APU-75 as an older device with known Teams issues and does not recommend it for Microsoft Teams deployments.
