The Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens is a wide-angle to short-telephoto zoom lens designed for everyday use covering an exceptionally wide range of focal lengths to benefit a wide variety of applications for the landscape to portrait.
A constant f/4 aperture offers a consistent aperture throughout the zoom range.

The Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lenses optical design features a combination of three ED elements, one aspherical ED element and three aspherical elements, both chromatic and spherical aberrations are effectively eliminated throughout the zoom range for notable sharpness and clarity.

Optical Design

The Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens features a combination of three ED elements, one aspherical ED element, and three aspherical elements to minimise chromatic aberrations and colour fringing. This lens also features ARNEO and Nano Crystal coats to prevent ghosting, reflections and flare within the lens for improved contrast and clarity when working in strong lighting conditions and backlit conditions.

Autofocus

Two separate AF drive units with stepping motors are synchronized to deliver quiet, fast and accurate focusing throughout the entire zoom range, making this wide-angle to short-telephoto zoom lens ideal for both video and still applications. An internal focusing design is employed where only the internal glass elements move to create a compact form factor during use and promote faster-focusing speeds. The lens also features a dedicated manual focus ring at the rear of the lens for tactile and precise control over manual focusing.

A minimum focusing distance of only 35cm and a maximum magnification of 0.39x improve the performance of the Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens when working with close-up subjects.

Handling and Design

The Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens features a programmable control ring that can be used to control aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation. Also features an assignable L.Fn button for seamless and quick changing between exposure settings and other functions.
