The Milesight EM410-RDL-L0CEU-EA is a LoRaWAN radar distance and level sensor designed for reliable non-contact monitoring of liquids and smooth-surface solids. Using 60GHz millimeter-wave radar technology, it provides a measurement range from 0.3 to 12 metres with a narrow 8° detection angle and high measurement accuracy. The rugged IP68 PVDF enclosure, long-life battery, external LoRaWAN antenna interface and flexible NFC/Bluetooth configuration make it well suited to demanding applications such as water tanks, sewers, canals, reservoirs and industrial level monitoring.

60GHz Radar Measurement

The EM410-RDL uses 60GHz millimeter-wave radar technology to measure the distance between the sensor and a liquid or smooth solid surface without physical contact. Compared with technologies that depend heavily on environmental conditions, radar measurement is less affected by factors such as dust, condensation, temperature and acoustic noise.

0.3m to 12m Detection Range

A measurement range from 0.3 to 12 metres enables the sensor to accommodate a variety of level-monitoring applications. Its narrow 8° radar beam helps focus measurement on the intended target, while 1mm resolution enables detailed distance readings.

LoRaWAN Connectivity

The LoRaWAN version operates as a Class A device and supports standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers. The EM410-RDL-L0CEU-EA external-antenna configuration provides a 50Ω SMB antenna connector, offering installation flexibility where an externally positioned LoRaWAN antenna is preferred.

Smart Monitoring and Diagnostics

Advanced monitoring functions include distance threshold alarms, distance change alarms and blind-zone alarms. The device can display radar echo curves and provides diagnostic capabilities to assist with calibration and troubleshooting. Up to 2,000 historical records can also be stored locally, with data retrieval and retransmission features helping reduce the risk of data loss.

Rugged IP68 Construction

The enclosure is manufactured from PVDF material and carries an IP68 ingress-protection rating. This corrosion-resistant construction makes the sensor suitable for demanding water-management, industrial and outdoor environments.
