Upgrade Compatible LG Signage to webOS 6.0

The WP601 connects to compatible LG digital signage and provides access to the webOS 6.0 Smart Signage platform, including a business-focused home screen and an intuitive operating menu. It can be used with supported older webOS and non-webOS LG commercial displays, subject to model compatibility and the required connections.

The signage home menu presents device status, content-management functions and frequently used settings in one place, helping administrators manage day-to-day display operation more efficiently.

Embedded Content Management

The integrated content-management system allows users to organise media, create playlists and schedule content for playback at selected times. Local content scheduling, Group Manager, USB Plug & Play, URL playback and input failover provide several options for delivering information and promotional material.

The WP601 supports Ultra HD video playback, allowing compatible 4K content to be shown on a suitable UHD display. Four video tags can be used to play several compatible video items through supported web applications.

Flexible Multi-Screen Presentation

Picture-in-Picture allows a secondary source to be displayed over the main content, while Picture-by-Picture supports layouts containing up to four input sources. These functions help businesses combine information, live sources and promotional media on one compatible display.

Screen rotation, external-input rotation, gapless playback and Tile Mode provide additional flexibility for different signage layouts and content formats.

Professional Display Control

Through a compatible RS-232C connection, the WP601 can send control commands to supported LG displays. This allows settings such as power, brightness and volume to be adjusted from the signage system where the connected display supports those commands.

Two HDMI inputs, DisplayPort input, HDMI output and DisplayPort output support a range of compatible sources and display connections. Supported HDMI or DisplayPort input signals can also be distributed through DisplayPort output for compatible daisy-chain installations.

Network and Software Integration

Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support wireless connectivity, while Ethernet provides a wired network connection. Wake-on-LAN, SNMP, status mailing and Control Manager functions assist with remote monitoring and routine signage administration.

The WP601 is compatible with LG SuperSign CMS, SuperSign Control+, SuperSign WB, SuperSign Cloud, Promota and Mobile CMS. It also supports the optional LG ConnectedCare service where available; applicable software, subscriptions and licences may be required separately.
