The LG 55XF3P is a 55-inch high-brightness open-frame display designed for integration into customised outdoor signage enclosures. Its Full HD IPS panel delivers typical brightness of 3000 nits, helping information, menus and promotional content remain visible in strong ambient light. LG webOS 6.1, automatic brightness adjustment and 24/7 operating capability support demanding commercial signage applications.

High Visibility in Bright Conditions

The display provides typical brightness of 3000 nits and a stated minimum brightness of 2400 nits. This high output helps content remain clear in bright outdoor and window-facing environments when the display is correctly installed inside a suitable enclosure.

The IPS panel provides wide 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, while the integrated quarter-wave plate helps viewers see displayed content when wearing compatible polarised sunglasses.

Customisable Open-Frame Design

The 55XF3P is supplied as an open-frame display, allowing integrators to create a customised casing suited to the installation. Its internal component arrangement supports space-efficient enclosures and can assist with the construction of compatible double-sided signage solutions.

This product is not a fully enclosed, independently weatherproof outdoor display. Outdoor installations require a properly designed casing, ventilation, thermal management and protection against water, dust and physical damage. LG provides an installation guide covering ventilation openings and internal partition placement.

Designed to Resist Screen Discolouration

LG has obtained UL verification for the XF3P series’ display anti-discolouration characteristics. The panel technology is designed to help reduce screen yellowing and maintain stable picture performance during appropriate high-brightness operation.

A conformal coating protects specified internal circuit and power boards against contaminants such as dust, iron particles and humidity. This coating provides additional internal protection but does not replace the need for a weather-resistant external enclosure.

Automatic Brightness Management

An integrated ambient-light sensor allows the display to adjust its brightness according to surrounding conditions. Brightness can increase in strong light to support visibility and decrease in darker conditions to help manage power usage.

The M+ IPS panel is designed to provide high-brightness performance with improved backlight efficiency. Actual brightness and energy use will depend on the displayed content, ambient conditions and system configuration.

Integrated LG webOS 6.1

A quad-core System-on-Chip and LG webOS 6.1 allow the display to run compatible content and signage functions without requiring a separate media player for many applications. The platform provides local scheduling, Group Manager, USB playback, URL playback, input failover and gapless playback.

Control Manager, SNMP, Wake-on-LAN and status-mailing functions provide options for monitoring and controlling the display over a wired network. The panel is also compatible with LG SuperSign management solutions and the region-dependent LG ConnectedCare service.

Professional Integration

Two HDMI inputs and a DisplayPort input accommodate compatible media sources, while DisplayPort output supports signal distribution to additional compatible displays. Ethernet and RS-232C connections provide network and professional control options.

The panel does not include built-in speakers. A compatible external audio system can be connected through the stereo external-speaker output when audio is required.
