The Honeywell Granit Ultra 2105iXR is an ultra-rugged cordless area-imaging scanner developed for demanding warehouse, distribution and manufacturing operations. Its expanded-range scanning system captures compatible 1D and 2D barcodes at close, middle and extended distances, helping workers move between shelf-level items, pallets and warehouse racks with fewer interruptions.

Expanded-Range Barcode Capture

The XR imaging system combines near and far area imagers for flexible barcode capture across different working distances. It can read UPC and EAN-13 barcodes from contact to nearly 1.8 metres and suitably sized 100 mil Code 39 barcodes from distances of up to 10.85 metres, with actual performance depending on barcode quality and operating conditions.

A yellow-green illumination system and green Class 2 laser aimer assist with accurate targeting. This is particularly useful when selecting an individual barcode from labels positioned close together or scanning items stored above normal reach.

Designed for Harsh Working Environments

The Granit Ultra 2105iXR is built for industrial environments where scanners may be exposed to drops, vibration, dust, moisture and changing temperatures. The scanner carries IP65 and IP68 environmental sealing and has been tested for 3-metre drops under specified conditions and 7,500 tumbles from 1 metre.

Its recessed, scratch- and impact-resistant scan window helps protect the optics during everyday use. The trigger has been tested for three million activations, while the charge and communication base is designed for up to 500,000 scanner insertion cycles.

Cordless Operation and Practical Feedback

Bluetooth Class 1 connectivity provides a line-of-sight wireless range of up to 100 metres when the scanner is used with the included Honeywell charge and communication base. The rechargeable 3,300 mAh lithium-ion battery supports up to 100,000 scans per charge and an expected operating period of 14 hours when scanning at two scans per second.

Good-read LEDs, an adjustable beeper and adjustable vibration give workers clear scan confirmation in noisy or visually demanding locations. Dedicated indicators also show battery and Bluetooth connection status.

Flexible Workflow Management

The scanner can capture multiple barcodes within its field of view and use Honeywell’s Data Format Editor to organise and transmit the information in a predefined order. Honeywell utilities such as EZConfig and Scanner Management Utility support configuration, deployment and scanner management across compatible environments.
