The Honeywell Granit Ultra 2100iXR is an ultra-rugged wired barcode scanner designed for warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing facilities and other demanding industrial environments. Its FlexRange area-imaging technology captures common 1D and 2D barcodes from close proximity through to extended distances, helping operators scan items, cartons and rack labels without repeatedly changing devices.

Flexible Scanning Across Industrial Workflows

The 2100iXR combines a 1280 × 1080-pixel area imager with focused illumination and a precise laser aimer. It can read standard 1D, PDF, 2D, postal, Digimarc and DOT Code symbologies, as well as supported OCR content. This broad decoding capability makes it suitable for receiving, picking, inventory management, manufacturing and shipping applications.

For suitable barcode types and conditions, the FlexRange engine can capture labels from near contact to extended distances. Typical performance reaches approximately 1.78 metres on a 13 mil UPC barcode and up to 10.85 metres on a 100 mil Code 39 rack label, although actual range will depend on barcode quality, size and environmental conditions.

Engineered for Demanding Environments

The rugged housing is built to withstand repeated impacts and exposure to dust and water. Honeywell rates the scanner for drops of up to 3 metres under specified test conditions, 7,500 tumbles from 1 metre and IP65/IP68 environmental sealing.

A deeply recessed, scratch- and impact-resistant scan window helps protect the scanner’s optics during everyday industrial use. Its operating temperature range also supports deployment in environments ranging from cold-storage areas to hot warehouse floors when the appropriate industrial-grade cable is used.

Clear Feedback and Easier Operation

Good-decode LEDs, an adjustable beeper and adjustable vibration provide clear confirmation after a successful scan, including in loud working environments. The focused aiming system assists operators when selecting a specific barcode from labels containing several closely positioned codes.

The scanner can also capture multiple barcodes within its field of view and organise the resulting data through Honeywell’s Data Format Editor. Honeywell Scanner Management Utility compatibility supports centralised configuration and scanner updates across a deployed fleet.
