Remote Headset for System Expansion

The Solidcom C1 Remote Headset is designed to expand an existing compatible intercom system or replace an existing remote headset. It does not contain the master transceiver required to create a standalone non-hub system and therefore needs to be paired with a compatible Solidcom master headset or hub-based system.

Hollyland's current firmware support allows compatible non-hub Solidcom C1 systems to operate with up to eight headsets in total, including the master headset and remote headsets. System capacity can depend on the master device, hub configuration and installed firmware.

Full-Duplex Hands-Free Communication

Full-duplex operation allows team members to speak and listen simultaneously, providing a more natural communication experience than traditional push-to-talk radio systems. This is particularly useful during live productions where directors, camera operators, stage personnel and technical teams need to exchange information quickly.

The wireless electronics, speaker, microphone, controls and battery are built directly into the headset, eliminating the need for a separate beltpack.

DECT 6.0 Wireless Technology

The Solidcom C1 platform uses digital DECT 6.0 technology in the 1.9 GHz frequency spectrum. Its dual-antenna diversity design helps maintain stable communication and resistance to interference, while proprietary encryption helps prevent unauthorised listeners from accessing team conversations.

For South Africa, Hollyland specifies an operating frequency range of 1880–1900 MHz with 10 available channels. Frequency allocations vary between countries and regions.

Low-Latency Communication

Wireless transmission latency is specified at less than 35 ms, helping conversations remain natural and responsive. This is particularly valuable during live broadcasts, performances and film production where instructions often need to be communicated without noticeable delay.

Wideband Audio with Acoustic Echo Cancellation

The Solidcom C1 provides a wideband frequency response of 150 Hz to 7 kHz together with Acoustic Echo Cancellation technology. This combination helps provide clear and intelligible voice communication between connected crew members.

The directional electret microphone is designed to capture the user's speech while reducing the amount of unwanted surrounding sound entering the microphone.

Rotating Microphone Boom

The adjustable microphone boom provides intuitive communication control. Lowering the microphone into its operating position allows the user to communicate, while raising the boom automatically mutes the microphone.

The boom can rotate approximately 270 degrees, allowing the headset to be configured for either left-ear or right-ear use according to the user's preference.

Single-Ear Mono Design

The single-ear headset design allows the wearer to hear intercom communication through one ear while keeping the opposite ear open to surrounding sounds. This makes it well suited to camera operators, stage crews and event personnel who need to remain aware of activity taking place around them.

Both an over-ear leather cushion and an on-ear foam cushion are supplied, allowing the headset to be configured for different comfort and isolation requirements.

Approximately 10 Hours of Battery Life

The remote headset uses a removable 700 mAh, 2.66 Wh rechargeable lithium-ion battery and provides approximately 10 hours of operating time per charge under normal conditions.

Two rechargeable batteries are supplied with the standalone headset, allowing one battery to be used while the second is kept as a spare. Battery charging takes approximately 2.5 hours when used with a compatible Solidcom C1 battery charging case.

The headset batteries must be charged in a compatible battery charging case. The headset itself should not be treated as a USB battery-charging device.
