The Hollyland Pyro 7 is a professional 7-inch wireless transceiver monitor that combines transmitter, receiver and monitoring functionality in a single device. Designed for film production, live events, commercial video and multi-camera workflows, it supports dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless transmission, a line-of-sight range of up to 400 m and transmission latency of approximately 60 ms. Transmitter, Receiver and Monitor in One
The Pyro 7 integrates three important production functions into a single device. It can operate as a wireless transmitter when connected to a camera, function as a receiver for a compatible Pyro-series transmitter, or serve as a dedicated 7-inch field monitor. This flexible design helps reduce the amount of separate equipment required on set and allows the same device to be redeployed according to the production workflow.

Up to 400 m Wireless Transmission
Hollyland's dual-band wireless system provides a line-of-sight transmission range of up to 400 m during standard operation, with transmission latency of approximately 60 ms when tested using a 1080p60 signal. Smooth Mode dynamically adjusts the video bitrate to prioritise low latency over longer distances, while HD Mode is designed to maintain higher image quality with an 8–12 Mbps bitrate.
Actual wireless performance can vary according to obstacles, interference, connected devices, local wireless regulations and environmental conditions.
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Auto Dual-Band Hopping
The Pyro 7 operates across both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. Hollyland's Auto Dual-Band Hopping technology continuously evaluates the wireless environment and can select a cleaner channel when interference is detected, helping maintain a more reliable video connection in busy production environments.

Broadcast to Multiple Receivers
WifiBroadcast technology allows a Pyro 7 operating as a transmitter to send its signal to as many as four compatible receivers when Broadcast Mode is enabled. This is useful when directors, camera operators and other production personnel require their own monitoring displays.
In Broadcast Mode, Hollyland specifies a line-of-sight range of up to approximately 200 m. With Broadcast Mode disabled, a transmitter can connect to as many as two receivers and two compatible mobile devices. Connecting mobile monitoring devices may affect the available wireless range.
7-Inch High-Brightness Touchscreen
The 7-inch touchscreen has a native resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Current Hollyland specifications list screen brightness at up to 1500 nits, helping maintain visibility when monitoring indoors or in brighter outdoor production environments.

Professional HollyOS Monitoring Tools
The upgraded HollyOS interface provides a selection of image-analysis tools for checking exposure, focus, colour and composition directly from the monitor. Available tools include waveform, focus assist, zebra pattern, false colour, 3D LUT support and image overlay. Customisable shortcut buttons can also provide faster access to frequently used monitoring functions.
HDMI and 3G-SDI Connectivity
The Pyro 7 includes HDMI 1.4b and 3G-SDI connections, making it suitable for both compact camera setups and professional production equipment. When operating as a transmitter, HDMI and SDI sources can be fed into the unit and compatible loop outputs can be used for local monitoring. When configured as a receiver, HDMI and SDI outputs allow the received video to be sent to monitors, switchers and other production equipment.

UHD 4K30 HDMI Input Support
The HDMI 1.4b input and HDMI loop output can accept signals at resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 fps. This allows the Pyro 7 to integrate with compatible 4K camera systems while providing wireless monitoring and production outputs suitable for professional Full HD workflows.
Smart Channel Scan
Pyro 7 can automatically select a suitable wireless channel when it starts. Its Smart Channel Scan function also provides real-time information about available frequencies, allowing operators to evaluate the surrounding wireless environment and manually select an appropriate channel when necessary.

SD Card Recording and File Management
An SD card slot allows the Pyro 7 to record MP4 video for up to approximately 40 minutes per individual recording session. The system can also capture on-set screenshots, import external images for image-overlay workflows and apply LUTs when exporting compatible video files. A 32GB SD memory card is included with the standard Pyro 7 package.
RTMP Live Streaming
When configured appropriately, the Pyro 7 supports RTMP streaming for live-production applications. Together with the HollyView app and compatible network equipment, this provides a convenient way to incorporate the wireless video feed into supported online broadcasting, conferencing and streaming workflows.
Flexible Power Options
The Pyro 7 features a locking 10–18 V DC power input and an interchangeable battery-plate design. The standard configuration uses an NP-F battery plate, while compatible V-Mount and G-Mount battery plates are available separately for alternative production power setups. Batteries are not listed among the standard supplied accessories.
