The Hikvision HM-TD4167-50/WY combines a 640 × 512 thermal channel with a 4 MP optical camera to support perimeter protection, temperature monitoring and fire-prevention applications. Its intelligent detection, smart tracking and extensive PTZ capabilities make it suitable for monitoring large or critical sites such as factories, construction sites, residential estates and commercial premises. Thermal and visible-light imaging provide complementary information for detecting events and reviewing visual details.

Thermal and Optical Monitoring

The thermal channel uses a VOx uncooled focal plane array with a 50 mm athermalised lens, 17 μm pixel interval and thermal sensitivity below 40 mK. It can detect thermal differences without relying on visible light, while the 4 MP optical channel provides detailed colour or monochrome video through a 6–240 mm lens with 40× optical zoom.

Picture-in-picture display can place part of the thermal image over the optical view. Target coloration is also supported in white-hot and black-hot modes, helping operators identify relevant targets while retaining the surrounding visual context.

Intelligent Perimeter Protection

A built-in GPU supports intelligent video content analysis for line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting events. The camera supports up to ten VCA scenes, with as many as eight rules for each scene, allowing detection behaviour to be configured for different monitored areas.

Panorama tracking, event tracking and multi-scene patrol tracking help the speed dome follow activity across larger sites. The thermal channel also supports electronic image stabilisation, although Hikvision notes that EIS conflicts with intelligent functions and therefore cannot be used with them at the same time.

Temperature and Fire Detection

The HM-TD4167-50/WY supports point, area and line-based temperature measurement between -20°C and 150°C, with a stated accuracy of ±8°C. Each configured scene can accommodate up to ten point rules, ten area rules and one line rule.

Dynamic fire detection can identify up to ten fire points, while temperature exception alarms and fire and smoke detection algorithms provide early warning options for suitable fire-prevention applications. Detection performance remains dependent on the target size, distance, installation and environmental conditions.

Flexible PTZ Coverage

The camera provides continuous 360° pan movement and a tilt range from -20° to 90° with automatic flip. It supports 300 presets, of which 273 are configurable, together with patrol, pattern, panorama and other scanning modes. Automatic infrared adjustment provides illumination at distances of up to 150 metres.
