The Hikvision DS-6908UDI(C) Ultra High Definition Decoder is a professional video decoding and video-wall solution designed for large-scale surveillance and display applications. Supporting up to 128 video decoding channels, source resolutions up to 32MP and eight HDMI 1.4 outputs with 4K UHD support, it enables high-density display of network camera, NVR and other video sources. Dual HDMI inputs, H.265/H.264 encoding, advanced stream decoding and synchronized multi-output display make it ideal for security control rooms, monitoring centres and professional video-wall installations.

Eight 4K HDMI Outputs

The DS-6908UDI(C) incorporates eight HDMI 1.4 output interfaces, with maximum output resolution of 3840 × 2160 at 30Hz. Multiple additional output resolutions are supported for compatibility with different displays and video-wall configurations. Two CVBS output channels are also available for compatible analogue display equipment.

Up to 128-Channel Decoding

Powerful decoding capability allows the DS-6908UDI(C) to handle up to 128 video channels. For H.264 and H.265 sources, real-time decoding capability includes up to four 32MP/24MP channels, eight 12MP channels, sixteen 8MP channels, twenty 6MP channels, thirty-two 4MP channels, sixty-four 1080p channels or 128 channels at 720p and lower resolutions.

Dual HDMI Input and Encoding

Two HDMI 1.4 inputs allow computers, video conferencing terminals and other compatible equipment to be used as local video sources. The decoder supports encoding one 4K stream at 30Hz or two 1080p streams at 60Hz, with H.264 and H.265 encoding available.

Advanced Video-Wall Operation

Frame synchronization technology helps keep images across the HDMI outputs synchronized, reducing issues such as frame loss, tearing and image splicing. Each HDMI output also supports an LED loading capacity of up to 2.6 megapixels for compatible LED display applications.

Flexible Network Stream Decoding

The decoder supports H.264, H.265, Smart264, Smart265 and MJPEG video streams from compatible network cameras, NVRs and other network sources. Active and passive decoding modes are supported together with encrypted streams, multi-channel streams, smart streams and recorded video-file decoding.
