The Hikvision DS-6916UDI(C) is an Ultra High Definition Decoder designed for professional video surveillance control rooms and video-wall applications. Built on an embedded hardware platform, it supports network cameras, NVRs and other network video sources together with direct HDMI input. Powerful decoding capability supports video streams up to 32MP, while 4K HDMI output, extensive video-wall controls, Gigabit copper and fiber networking and multiple alarm and control interfaces provide the flexibility required for large-scale monitoring environments.

Ultra High Definition Decoding

The DS-6916UDI(C) is designed to decode high-resolution network video for professional monitoring systems. It supports network streams with resolutions of up to 32MP and mainstream decoding formats including H.265, H.264, Smart265, Smart264 and MJPEG.

High-Capacity Multi-Channel Decoding

The decoder provides up to 256 video decoding channels. Hikvision specifies simultaneous decoding of up to 128 channels of 2MP video or up to 256 channels of 720p video to the video wall, providing substantial capacity for large multi-camera surveillance environments.

4K HDMI Input and Output

Two HDMI 1.4 input interfaces support external video sources such as computers and video-conferencing terminals. The unit supports two channels of 1080p at 50/60Hz input or one channel of 4K at 30Hz input. HDMI output supports UHD resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 at 30Hz.

Advanced Video-Wall Control

The DS-6916UDI(C) supports a video-wall scale of up to 16 screens. Split-window operation allows multiple video sources to be displayed through individual output ports, with division layouts including 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 16, 25 and 36 windows.

Multi-Layer Display

The current Hikvision specification supports up to four 1080p layers or two 4K layers per screen. This allows multiple video sources and windows to be arranged across compatible displays for flexible security monitoring and control-room layouts.

Video-Wall Scene Management

Up to 64 scenes can be configured for the video wall, allowing operators to save and recall different display arrangements according to monitoring requirements. The decoder also supports view groups through the compatible Hikvision client platform.

Copper and Fiber Networking

The decoder provides two 10/100/1000Mbps self-adaptive RJ45 Ethernet interfaces together with two 100BASE-FX/1000BASE-X optical ports. Support for self-adaptation between optical and electrical network ports provides additional flexibility when integrating the decoder into professional surveillance infrastructure.

Alarm and Control Integration

Eight alarm inputs and eight alarm outputs allow the decoder to integrate with compatible external security devices. RS-232 and RS-485 serial interfaces are also provided, together with two USB 2.0 ports for supported peripherals and system operations.
