The Hikvision DS-2CD6425G1-20(2.8MM)2M is a 2MP DeepinView separated network camera designed for discreet and specialised video surveillance installations. Its separated architecture places the compact 2.8mm camera head away from the main processing unit using a 2m cable, allowing the lens to be positioned unobtrusively where a conventional network camera may be too large. A 1/2.8-inch Progressive Scan CMOS sensor provides Full HD 1920 × 1080 imaging, while H.265/H.264 compression, multi-stream video, audio support and extensive network integration features make it suitable for professional IP surveillance environments.

2MP Full HD Imaging
The DS-2CD6425G1-20 uses a 1/2.8-inch Progressive Scan CMOS sensor and captures video at resolutions up to 1920 × 1080. The main stream supports up to 25fps at Full HD resolution in 50Hz environments and up to 30fps in 60Hz environments.
Separated Camera Architecture
Unlike a conventional network camera with the lens, image sensor and processing electronics housed together, the DS-2CD6425G1-20 uses a separated camera-head design. The compact imaging module can therefore be positioned separately from the main camera body, making the system particularly useful for discreet installations and locations with limited mounting space.
2.8mm Wide-Angle Lens
This variant features the 2.8mm fixed lens option. Hikvision specifies a horizontal field of view of 93.9°, vertical field of view of 51.7° and diagonal field of view of 109.3°. The lens uses a fixed F2.5 aperture, providing broad scene coverage for suitable indoor surveillance applications.
2m Lens Cable Configuration
The DS-2CD6425G1-20 family supports separated camera-head cabling, with Hikvision publishing 2m and 8m cable configurations. This DS-2CD6425G1-20(2.8MM)2M configuration uses the 2m cable option, allowing the compact camera module to be installed separately from the main processing body.
Efficient Multi-Stream Video
The main video stream supports H.265 and H.264 compression, while the sub-stream additionally supports MJPEG. A third stream is also available, allowing the camera to provide different video streams for recording, live monitoring and other network surveillance requirements.
Audio Support
The camera supports mono audio with G.711, G.722.1, G.726, MP2L2, PCM and AAC compression options. Environmental noise filtering is also supported to help improve captured audio in suitable installations.
Professional Network Integration
The DS-2CD6425G1 series supports a broad selection of standard IP networking protocols together with ONVIF, ISAPI, SDK and ISUP 5.0 interfaces. NAS storage using NFS or SMB/CIFS is supported, while Hikvision iVMS-4200 and Hik-Connect can be used as compatible client platforms.
