The DS-3WF1000S-EI-2N is designed to establish wireless network links over distances of up to 1km. It can be used for point-to-point transmission between two locations or point-to-multipoint deployments where multiple remote wireless bridges connect to a central device, making it particularly useful where conventional network cabling is difficult to install.

2.4GHz 2 × 2 MIMO Wireless Connectivity

Operating across the 2400–2483.5MHz frequency band, the wireless bridge supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n and 2 × 2 MIMO technology with a maximum air-interface rate of 300Mbps. Channel widths of 10MHz, 20MHz and 40MHz are supported, with automatic or manual channel selection.

Real-World Point-to-Point Performance

Hikvision specifies point-to-point throughput of up to 90Mbps at 0.2km, 90Mbps at 0.5km and 70Mbps at 1km when using HT40. For point-to-multipoint operation with one-to-four links, throughput is rated at up to 40Mbps at 1km. The advertised 300Mbps specification represents the maximum wireless air-interface transmission rate rather than the real-world throughput across a 1km link.
