The Dahua TPC-BF1241-B10F12-DW-S8 is a mini hybrid network bullet camera that combines a 256 × 192 thermal sensor with a 4MP visible-light camera. Its dual-channel design supports continuous monitoring in darkness, difficult lighting and visually obstructed conditions, making it suitable for perimeter protection, factories, parking areas and other small to medium surveillance environments.

This configuration uses a 10 mm thermal lens and a 12 mm visible-light lens for more focused, longer-distance monitoring. Intelligent functions include heat detection, hot and cold spot tracing, tripwire and intrusion detection, human and vehicle classification, smoking detection and call detection.

Thermal and Visible-light Monitoring

The thermal channel detects infrared energy rather than relying solely on visible light, helping reveal heat-emitting targets in darkness and visually challenging environments. The 4MP visible channel provides conventional security footage with a maximum resolution of 2336 × 1752, allowing operators to review additional visual detail when conditions permit.

10mm Thermal Channel

The vanadium oxide uncooled thermal detector provides a native resolution of 256 × 192, a 12 μm pixel pitch and thermal sensitivity below 40 mK. Its 10 mm F1.0 lens delivers a focused 17.3° horizontal and 13.1° vertical field of view for monitoring more distant targets.

4MP Visible-light Channel

The visible channel uses a 1/2.7-inch CMOS sensor and fixed 12 mm lens, providing a 22° horizontal and 16.6° vertical field of view. Integrated infrared illumination reaches up to 30 metres for conventional black-and-white video in darkness.

Dual-image Fusion

Thermal and visible information can be combined through the camera’s supported fusion modes. This helps operators associate detected heat signatures with details from the visible scene when reviewing events.

Heat Detection and Alarm

The camera supports heat detection and alarm functions together with hot and cold spot tracing. For the 10 mm thermal configuration, Dahua lists a reference heat-detection distance of up to 123 metres when tested using a 0.2 × 0.2 metre target under specified environmental conditions.

Intelligent Perimeter Protection

Tripwire and intrusion rules can classify human and vehicle targets, helping the surveillance system focus on relevant movement. The camera also supports smoking and call detection for compatible monitored environments.

Local Storage and System Integration

Recordings can be stored on a MicroSD card with a capacity of up to 256 GB. ONVIF, CGI and the Dahua SDK support integration with compatible video management and recording systems, while audio, alarm and RS-485 connections provide additional integration options.
