The Dahua PFT1500 is a hardened, unmanaged Power over Ethernet extender designed to carry network data and redistribute PoE power to as many as four compatible devices. With one Gigabit PoE input, four 10/100 Mbps PoE outputs and selectable long-distance transmission, it provides a practical way to extend surveillance networks where installing local mains power or additional network switches would be inconvenient.

One PoE Input and Four PoE Outputs

The PFT1500 receives network data and operating power through its 10/100/1000 Mbps PoE input. It then provides four 10/100 Mbps PoE outputs for compatible IP cameras and other powered network devices, allowing multiple endpoints to share a single incoming cable.

High-Power Red Port

Output port 1 supports IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at, IEEE 802.3bt and Dahua Hi-PoE, with a specified maximum output of 90 W. Ports 2 to 4 support up to 30 W each, while the total available PoE output remains limited to 90 W and depends on the upstream power source and cable losses.

Long-Distance PoE Transmission

A DIP switch enables long-distance mode for cable runs of up to 250 m on a supported output connection. When this mode is enabled, the applicable port operates at 10 Mbps. Dahua describes a maximum combined transmission path of up to 350 m when the extender is used in an appropriate system configuration.

Automatic PoE Watchdog

The selectable PoE Watchdog monitors connected terminal devices. If a supported device stops responding, the extender can restart power to the affected port to help restore the connection and reduce the need for manual intervention.

Hardened, Fanless Construction

A full-metal, fanless enclosure assists with passive heat dissipation and quiet operation. The PFT1500 is specified for temperatures from –30°C to +65°C and includes electrostatic and lightning protection for suitably installed surveillance and network systems.
