The Dahua IPC-HDW2449T-S-IL is a 4MP WizSense eyeball network camera designed for intelligent monitoring of entrances, shops, offices, residential properties and other indoor or outdoor areas. Its wide-angle 2.8 mm fixed-focal lens provides a 95° horizontal field of view, while Smart Dual Light technology combines infrared and warm-white illumination for adaptable night-time surveillance.

Human and vehicle classification helps users focus on relevant tripwire, intrusion and motion-detection events. The camera also provides 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range, Smart H.265+ encoding, a built-in microphone, microSD recording, PoE installation and an IP67-rated enclosure.

Smart Dual Light Monitoring

Smart Dual Light technology normally uses infrared illumination for discreet black-and-white night monitoring. When a supported target enters the configured area, the warm light can activate so the camera records the event in colour. Once the target leaves, the warm light switches off and infrared monitoring resumes, helping limit unnecessary visible illumination.

Detailed 4MP Video

The 1/2.9-inch CMOS sensor captures video at up to 2688 × 1520 resolution at 20 frames per second. The camera also supports 2560 × 1440 recording at up to 25 or 30 frames per second, providing a practical balance between image detail and frame rate.

Wide-angle 2.8 mm Coverage

The fixed-focal 2.8 mm F1.6 lens provides a 95° horizontal, 52° vertical and 114° diagonal field of view. This wide perspective is suitable for monitoring entrances, rooms and open areas where broad scene coverage is required.

Human and Vehicle Classification

WizSense perimeter protection applies human and vehicle classification to supported tripwire and intrusion rules. SMD Plus categorises motion-detection targets and filters unrelated movement, helping operators concentrate on relevant human and vehicle activity.

Infrared and Warm-light Illumination

The camera includes one infrared LED and one warm-light illuminator. Both illumination systems have a rated maximum distance of 30 metres, providing a choice between discreet infrared monitoring and visible illumination for colour event footage.

Clearer High-contrast Images

True 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range helps retain detail when bright and dark areas appear within the same scene. Highlight Compensation, Backlight Compensation and 3D Noise Reduction provide additional options for managing challenging lighting conditions.

Efficient Recording and Storage

Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+ encoding help reduce bandwidth and recording-storage requirements while maintaining useful video quality. Footage can be stored on a compatible microSD card with a capacity of up to 256 GB or sent to supported FTP and SFTP storage.

Integrated Audio

A built-in microphone captures audio alongside the video feed without requiring a separate external microphone. Supported audio-compression formats include G.711a, G.711Mu, PCM and G.726.

Flexible Outdoor Installation

The camera can be powered using 12 V DC or IEEE 802.3af PoE, allowing power and network connectivity to share a single compatible Ethernet cable. Its enclosure carries an IP67 ingress-protection rating and is specified for operation from −40 °C to +60 °C.
