The Cudy BE6500 2.5G Mesh Wi-Fi 7 Router is designed for homes that need fast wireless connectivity, multi-gigabit internet access and room to accommodate a growing collection of connected devices. Its six-stream dual-band design delivers theoretical wireless rates of up to 5,765 Mbps at 5 GHz and 688 Mbps at 2.4 GHz. It can operate as a standalone router or form part of an expandable Cudy Mesh network using additional compatible units.

Dual-band Wi-Fi 7 performance

Wi-Fi 7 technologies including Multi-Link Operation, 4K-QAM, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, Multi-RU and channel puncturing help the router use available wireless capacity more efficiently. With an MLO link-rate reference of up to 6,453 Mbps and support for 160 MHz channels, the M6500 is equipped for high-bandwidth activities such as large downloads, high-resolution streaming, cloud services and online gaming.

Multi-gigabit internet connectivity

A dedicated 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet WAN port supports compatible fibre and broadband connections above conventional Gigabit speeds. Three additional Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports provide stable wired connections for desktop computers, gaming consoles, televisions, switches and other network equipment.

Powerful processing for busy networks

The router combines a Broadcom 2 GHz quad-core processor with 512 MB of DDR4 memory. Cudy recommends the M6500 for networks with up to 200 connected clients, while its published maximum client capacity is 512 devices under suitable network conditions.

Expandable Cudy Mesh networking

Cudy Mesh support allows the router to work with additional compatible Cudy units to extend coverage around larger or multi-storey homes. Both wireless and wired backhaul are supported, giving you flexibility when positioning mesh units and planning the connection between them.

Secure and manageable

WPA3 wireless security, an SPI firewall, guest networking and parental controls provide practical tools for managing a household network. The Cudy App supports local and cloud-based control, while the web interface provides another way to configure and monitor the router.

Network-wide VPN support

Built-in VPN server and client capabilities support WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec, ZeroTier, PPTP and L2TP. This makes it possible to configure compatible VPN services at router level or provide secure remote access, depending on the selected service and network configuration.
