The Club 3D CSV-2540 is a powered 14-in-1 USB-C docking station designed for professional workstations that require multiple displays, high-speed peripherals, wired networking and laptop charging through a single host connection. It provides two DisplayPort outputs, two HDMI outputs, five downstream USB ports, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, memory-card readers and a headset connection. With a compatible host system, it can support four 4K 60Hz displays or one display at up to 8K 30Hz.

Quad 4K Display Support

Two DisplayPort and two HDMI connections allow up to four external monitors to be connected simultaneously. The docking station supports as many as four 3840 x 2160 displays at 60Hz using Display Stream Compression, making it suitable for financial trading, control rooms, content creation, engineering and other multi-screen workflows.

For a single-display installation, the dock supports resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 at 30Hz. Available resolution, refresh rate and display count remain dependent on the host computer’s USB-C or Thunderbolt implementation, graphics processor, operating system and DisplayPort capabilities.

DisplayPort 2.1 Alternate Mode

The USB-C host connection supports DisplayPort 2.1 Alternate Mode data rates ranging from RBR through UHBR20. It is also backwards compatible with earlier DisplayPort Alternate Mode implementations, although connecting a lower-bandwidth host may reduce the available resolution, refresh rate or number of displays.

Support for Display Stream Compression, Multi-Stream Transport, HDR10+ and HDCP 1.4/2.3 provides broad compatibility with suitable displays and protected digital content. The DisplayPort outputs also support DP++, allowing compatible passive DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapters to be used where required.

Up to 100W Laptop Charging

The included 150W power supply enables the docking station to deliver up to 100W of USB Power Delivery to a compatible host laptop. This can reduce the need for a separate laptop charger while the computer is connected to displays, networking and USB peripherals.

A dedicated downstream USB-C port provides up to 30W of Power Delivery for charging a compatible smartphone, tablet or other USB-C device. Charging performance depends on the requirements and supported power profiles of the connected equipment.

High-Speed USB Expansion

Five downstream USB connections provide convenient access for external storage, keyboards, mice, webcams, audio interfaces and other accessories. The selection includes USB-A and USB-C ports operating at up to 5Gbps or 10Gbps, allowing both established USB-A peripherals and newer USB-C devices to be connected.

2.5 Gigabit Wired Networking

The integrated RJ-45 Ethernet connection supports network speeds of 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps. When connected to compatible network equipment and cabling, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet provides additional bandwidth for large file transfers, shared storage, online collaboration and other network-intensive tasks.

SD and MicroSD Card Readers

Dedicated SD and MicroSD card slots provide convenient access to photographs, video footage and other files without requiring a separate reader. Both slots can operate simultaneously and support SD 4.0 UHS-II media at speeds of up to 312Mbps when used with compatible cards.

Compatibility Considerations

The host computer must provide a full-featured USB-C or Thunderbolt connection with DisplayPort Alternate Mode for video output. Four-display operation requires sufficient host graphics support and DisplayPort bandwidth. Apple macOS systems use Single-Stream Transport and may therefore support fewer independent extended displays than compatible Windows systems.
