The Cisco Catalyst IE-9310-16P8S4X-E is a fully managed, ruggedised 1RU Ethernet switch built for demanding industrial and extended-enterprise networks. Its combination of 16 Gigabit PoE+ copper ports, eight Gigabit SFP ports and four 1/10 Gigabit SFP+ uplinks provides flexible connectivity for powered edge devices, fibre links and high-speed network infrastructure.

The switch provides 28 Ethernet interfaces in a mixed-media configuration. Sixteen 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 PoE+ ports can connect and power compatible devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points and IP phones. Eight 100/1000 Mbps SFP downlinks support fibre connectivity, while four 1/10 Gigabit SFP+ uplinks provide higher-bandwidth connections to the wider network.
