Description
Cambium Networks PTP670-EXT Connectorized END CPE with AC Supply CORE-PTP670-EXT
The Cambium Networks CORE-PTP670-EXT is a PTP 670 connectorized wireless backhaul radio end supplied with an AC power solution for building high-performance point-to-point links. Designed for carrier, enterprise and critical infrastructure networks, the PTP 670 operates across the 4.9 to 6.05GHz spectrum and supports flexible channel widths, advanced interference management and long-distance wireless connectivity. Its connectorized architecture allows installers to select an appropriate external antenna for the required range, gain and deployment environment.
Key Features
- Connectorized Cambium Networks PTP 670 wireless backhaul radio end.
- Wide-band 4.9 to 6.05GHz operation, subject to regional regulations.
- Supports 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 and 45MHz channel widths.
- Up to 250km (155 miles) supported link range under suitable conditions.
- 2 × N-type female RF connectors for external antenna connection.
- Fast Preemptive Adaptive Modulation from BPSK through 256-QAM.
- Dynamic Spectrum Optimization for intelligent interference avoidance.
- 2 × Gigabit Ethernet copper ports and 1 × SFP interface.
- Synchronous Ethernet and IEEE 1588v2 timing support.
- Rugged outdoor design for carrier-grade wireless backhaul deployments.
High-Performance Wireless Backhaul
The PTP 670 platform is engineered for demanding point-to-point wireless backhaul applications. Wide-band 4.9 to 6.05GHz operation and multiple selectable channel widths provide deployment flexibility across different spectrum environments, subject to local regulatory requirements.
Dynamic Spectrum Optimization
Cambium Networks Dynamic Spectrum Optimization continuously evaluates the RF environment and can automatically select suitable operating channels to help minimise interference. Manual channel selection is also available when required by the network design.
Connectorized Antenna Flexibility
Two N-type female RF connectors allow the radio to operate with separately purchased compatible single- or dual-polarity external antennas. This gives network designers the flexibility to select antenna characteristics according to link distance, topology and installation requirements.
Flexible Gigabit Network Interfaces
The PTP 670 provides two Gigabit Ethernet copper interfaces and an SFP interface. Gigabit Port 1 carries network data and PoE power input, while the second Gigabit interface supports 802.3at PoE output for compatible equipment. The SFP interface supports suitable fibre or copper Gigabit Ethernet transceiver options.
Long-Distance Connectivity
Under suitable RF, antenna and environmental conditions, the PTP 670 platform supports point-to-point links reaching up to 250km. Actual achievable distance and throughput depend on antenna selection, spectrum availability, interference, terrain, regulatory limits and link engineering.
