In previous generations longer (1-2M) Thunderbolt cables lacked compatibility with USB-C (3.0) devices, meaning that if you wanted to use longer Thunderbolt 3 cables with USB-C devices you would have seen reduced speeds.

USB4

CalDigit’s Thunderbolt 4 cables are compliant with the latest USB4 (40Gb/s) specification and can be used with USB-C devices that are utilizing the USB4 interface.

PCIE 32Gb/S

The latest Thunderbolt 4 specification brings with it the implementation of 32Gb/s PCIe technology as a minimum requirement. This means that CalDigit’s Thunderbolt 4 cables can be used to connect storage devices with performance up to 3000MB/s.

8K DISPLAY WITH 2M CABLE

Previous generations of 2M Thunderbolt 3 Active cables restricted compatibility to Thunderbolt monitors only. This meant that 2M cables could not be used with USB-C monitors.CalDigit’s 2M Thunderbolt 4 cables on the other hand have expanded that compatibility, and can be used with USB-C monitors in addition to Thunderbolt monitors, for up to 8K resolution.

E-Marker

The CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 cables include E-Marker technology at either end of the cable.
