Features
Engineering-Grade Polycarbonate
Anycubic PC Filament is designed for demanding 3D printing applications requiring greater mechanical performance than standard decorative materials. Its strong polycarbonate formulation makes it suitable for functional components, engineering prototypes and durable printed parts.
Exceptional Impact Resistance
The filament offers excellent toughness and impact resistance, helping printed components withstand mechanical stress. This makes it suitable for applications where durability and resistance to sudden impacts are important.
Excellent Heat Resistance
With a heat deflection temperature of 110°C at 0.45MPa, Anycubic PC offers improved thermal resistance compared with standard PLA filament. This makes it useful for compatible functional parts exposed to elevated temperatures.
High Mechanical Strength
The polycarbonate formulation provides a tensile strength of 65 ±6MPa and bending strength of 105 ±10MPa. These properties support the production of strong functional components and engineering models.
Smooth Black Surface Finish
Anycubic PC Black produces a clean, smooth-looking finish suitable for functional and professional applications. Its dark colour complements electronic enclosures, mechanical components and technical prototypes.
Functional and Structural Applications
PC filament is well suited to producing structural parts, custom brackets, mechanical housings and functional prototypes. Its combination of toughness and thermal stability supports a broad range of engineering projects.
Automotive and Electronics Projects
The material can be used for suitable automotive components, electronic housings and technical accessories where strength and heat resistance are required. Printed parts should be evaluated against the mechanical and temperature demands of their intended application.
Outdoor Application Potential
Anycubic highlights weather resistance among the benefits of its PC material. It can be considered for suitable outdoor applications, although long-term exposure, environmental conditions and mechanical loads should be assessed.
Efficient Printing Performance
With a recommended printing speed of 40-250mm/s and maximum volumetric flow rate of 12mm³/s, Anycubic PC supports efficient production on compatible high-temperature printers. Actual performance depends on the printer, hotend, cooling and selected print settings.
High-Temperature Printing Requirements
PC requires significantly higher processing temperatures than standard PLA. A compatible hotend capable of 270-290°C and heated bed capable of 100-120°C are required. A suitable enclosed printer is recommended to help reduce warping and improve print consistency.
Mandatory Filament Drying
Polycarbonate absorbs moisture, which can negatively affect extrusion, surface appearance and print strength. Anycubic specifies drying at 80°C for 8-12 hours before printing. Appropriate dry storage is recommended after preparation.
Build Plate Adhesion
Strong bed adhesion is important when printing PC to help minimise warping and lifting. Anycubic specifies the use of an appropriate build plate adhesive. Always follow the printer and build surface manufacturer's recommendations.
Intelligent Filament Identification
Compatible Anycubic ACE systems support intelligent filament identification to simplify material recognition and setup. This feature requires supported equipment and does not replace the need to confirm the printer's PC temperature capability.
Reusable Filament Spool
The reusable spool features a practical locking design to help keep filament organised during handling and storage. Its reusable construction also supports compatible refill workflows.
Recommended Printing and Storage
- Nozzle temperature: 270-290°C.
- Heated bed temperature: 100-120°C.
