How it works
From objective to live campaign in four steps.
Simple inputs from the supplier, managed execution from FirstShop and a repeatable monthly rhythm.
FirstShop executes the agreed activity, provides POE and uses performance insights to inform the next cycle.
Campaign inventory is limited.
Homepage positions, direct-mail slots and major seasonal windows are shared across suppliers. Longer-term commitments secure a consistent campaign rhythm and protect access to the calendar.

Questions suppliers ask
Clear answers before you commit.
What do I actually get for my investment?
In marketing, no one can know with certainty what return to expect, and neither can we. What we do know is that there are very few opportunities to communicate your brand message to a focused IT audience from as little as R0.19 per contact. Your investment gives you access to campaign planning, targeted audience reach, agreed placements, coordinated execution and proof of execution, with longer commitments delivering the strongest cost per contact and the opportunity to build recognition over time.
Does every activity repeat every month?
The agreed monthly campaign plan determines which activities run in each cycle. The programme creates a repeatable rhythm, but specific placements, products and external-channel allocations can change according to objectives, stock, seasonality and available inventory.
Are sales or ROAS guaranteed?
No. The 20x campaign is a verified performance example, not a promise. Outcomes depend on pricing, product relevance, availability, creative, market demand and attribution. FirstShop commits to agreed execution, POE and reporting rather than guaranteed commercial results.
Why do longer packages cost less per contact?
Longer commitments create planning certainty, reduce repeated setup friction and allow campaigns to build recognition over multiple cycles. The rate card passes that efficiency back through a lower effective campaign and contact cost.
What must the supplier provide?
Priority products, stock confidence, compelling offers, campaign messaging, suitable assets and competitor mappings where alternative positioning is required.
Is this page the formal agreement?
No. This page explains the commercial opportunity. Final deliverables, payment terms, responsibilities, reporting and legal terms are confirmed in a separate Joint Marketing Agreement.
Can external media be added?
Yes. Any additional value can be allocated to expand the campaign through Google, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn advertising. The media allocation is agreed with you and applied where it best supports the campaign objective.
What is the worst-case scenario?
The worst-case scenario is that you select the shortest commitment option at R0.75 per contact, or 75c, and the campaign does not communicate the message you intended. We reduce this risk by strategising with your brand, agreeing the objective and messaging together, and obtaining your final sign-off before anything is published on FirstShop. For the campaign to fail, we would have to fail together. That is unlikely because your team understands your brand, while ours understands what FirstShop customers search for, compare and expect.
