The VSOL V2801F is a high-performance xPON Optical Network Unit (ONU) housed in a Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) module. This device is designed to provide a direct fibre optic connection to networking equipment such as routers, switches, or firewalls, eliminating the need for a separate, standalone ONT. Its dual-mode capability ensures compatibility with both GPON and EPON networks, automatically detecting the OLT type for flexible deployment. In GPON mode, it adheres to ITU-T G.984 standards, supporting data rates of 2.5 Gbps downstream and 1.25 Gbps upstream. In EPON mode, it complies with IEEE 802.3ah standards for symmetrical 1.25 Gbps connectivity. The V2801F features a single SC/UPC connector and is an ideal solution for Internet Service Providers and network administrators looking to simplify FTTH and FTTB installations.
