The NOVPOS005 is a desktop / hands-free 2D image barcode scanner, intended for POS counters, kiosks, and other stationary scanning environments. It captures both 1D and 2D barcodes (e.g. QR codes, DataMatrix) via an imaging sensor rather than a laser, enabling more versatile scanning (including mobile phone screens).

Because it's desktop style, it is designed to be used in presentation mode (i.e. items passed over it), rather than handheld use.

Versatility in barcode types

Because it’s a 2D imager, it should reliably decode QR codes, DataMatrix, and 2D codes on screens, as well as standard 1D barcodes.

Hands-free scanning

With presentation mode, staff can pass items over the scanner rather than needing to pick up a handheld scanner.
